Theme: THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES OF HIS GRACE
DAY 18, Read 1 Peter 4:10-12
THE MANIFOLD GRACE OF GOD
Key Text: “As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as (befits) good trustees of God’s many-sided grace (faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favour” (1 Peter. 4:10 AMP).
God has put in place the blessings of grace for the building of his Church. God’s grace manifesting as gifts of the Spirit is given to everyone of us differently to be used in strengthening one another and for his glory. Some have the grace for leadership, others for singing, others for help, and others for exhortation, etc.
The Christian life starts with: saving grace (Ephesians 2:8-10).
We go from grace to grace (John 1:16).
It continues with serving grace (1 Corinthians 15:9-10; Hebrews 12:28).
Then sanctifying grace (Romans 5:17; 6:17).
Then sacrificing grace (2 Corinthians 8:1-9).
Singing grace (Colossians 3:16).
Speaking grace (Colossians 4:6).
Strengthening grace (2 Timothy 2:1).
Suffering grace (2 Corinthians 12:9).
His grace is manifold (1 Peter 4:10)
He is the God of all grace (1 Peter 5:10)
He gives grace in time of need (Hebrews 4:16)
He giveth more grace (James 4:6)
We must stand in grace (1 Peter 5:12; Romans 5:2 )
We hereby summarize a commentary on grace found in the Preacher’s Bible. The grace: it’s source: Christ Jesus; it’s characteristics: generous, abundant, sufficient, wonderful; it’s availability: to all sinners, all children of God, mainly to the humble; what does it do? It saves men, it justifies sinners, it calls and equips for the work of the Lord, it gives consolation and good hope to all.
Thus, we can safely say that, grace defines who we are. Our living in grace is meant to bring glory to God. “…that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
PRAYER: Lord, make me to serve you diligently with the grace you have given to me.
