Notes from Badagry 2013 Outreach by Pastor Chuma Isidienu..
Easter is a season of great reflection. It is a time when the ‘saved’ remember the marvelous work of salvation in which Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, as a sacrifice for the atonement of sin, although he was innocent and perfect.
For the church it is a time that emphasis is made on Evangelism, to reconcile men (sinners) unto God.
He Is Alive Chapel is committed to this Divine Mandate: on the 30th of March 2013, a day before Easter Sunday, the Evangelism team, led by Evangelist Azuka Ogo, the Mercy Hands Initiative (the church NGO that provides health services for rural dwellers and the less privileged driven by Pastor (Dr) Ernest Nwokolo and Pastor John Emeh), as well as a team of Pastors from He’s Alive Chapel stormed Apa Kingdom in Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos state. Working with the He’s Alive Chapel Centre, Badagry led by Pastor Moses Omoniyi, the team sought out lost souls and provided medicine for physical health and the word of God for spiritual upliftment.
The church drama group ministered to the large group of people present. The weather was sunny and right. Men and women, children, old and young, submitted to the presence of the Lord with joy. Christ Jesus lit up their souls and Pastor Nnamdi Ihejimba, CEO of SkySolar Resources lit up the homes of attendees with a gift of Solar Lamps, and the Mercy Hands Initiative distributed free Mosquito nets.
Most glorious was the abundant present of the ‘resurrection power’ to save, heal, and set the captives free. It was a great Easter weekend.
