DAY 13.
Exo. 8:1-19
Key Verse: “Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the LORD had said” (Exo. 8:19).
There are two key words in our topic: the first is the word, demonstrate; and the second is, “the mighty hand of God.” This means to: “show in a definite way.” God wants to show us his mighty hand in a definite way. To demonstrate also means to make evident, God wants to make His hand evident. It means to prove. God wants to give us proof. To demonstrate also means to show, or manifest. God wants to manifest His presence.
When God wants to demonstrate His mighty hand He places it on men. Every time the mighty hand of God touches a man a positive mark is left for life. Just one touch of His mighty hand will change your life forever (Isa.6:7, Jer.1:9). There is no sickness God cannot heal easily by just one touch (Matt. 8:15, Matt. 9:28-29, Mark 7:33-35, Luk.22:50-51).
God wants us to continue the healing touch ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 9:17, Mark16:16-20). The mighty hand of God delivers wonders with every touch. There is nothing beyond the reach of the mighty hand of God, including the hearts of men, the hearts of kings (Neh.2:8, 17-18); and hidden challenges (Psalm 21:8). There is no situation the mighty hand of God cannot arrest (Psalm 138:7); there is no mountain the mighty hand of God cannot level (Isa.41:10-16). The mighty hand of God can bring solution to every problem of life (Jer. 32:21).
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD
The mighty hand of God is the highest sense of power in the universe (2 Chro. 20:6). The hand of God opens the door for the era of signs and wonders (Psalm 118:15-16). The hand of God is the dispenser of the abundance of heaven (Psalm 95:4, 7; Psalm 104: 23 – 29; Psalm 12:2).
THE ANATOMY OF THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD
The Finger of God, “the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and he would not listen, just as the Lord had said” (Exo.8:19). It is reserved for casting out demons. (See also Exo.13:18, Deut.9:10, Luke 11:20).
The Arm of God: “terror and dread will fall on them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone— until your people pass by, Lord, until the people you bought pass by” (Exodus 15:16).
The Mighty Hand of God, “Has any god ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?” (Deut.4:34; 5:15)
What are the keys for demonstrating the hand of God? They include faith and prayer.
The hand of God upon a man conveys God’s help, approval, comfort and power. God’s hand is the healing hand of Jesus- still healing, comforting, and delivering now as at then. Friends, we are in for a great experience.
PRAYER: Father, empower my hands so that I may be able to demonstrate the power of Your mighty hand.
