Thursday Morning With Jesus is an interdenominational fellowship hosted at He’s Alive Chapel. The fellowship is open to everyone regardless of their denomination. The uniting factor is Jesus.
The focus is on Jesus, and our motto is “God is to be Enjoyed”. Simply, TMWJ is a place where people come to experience God in a personal way.
This year has been wonderful. The fellowship reached a new level of liberty in the spirit and worship. People came to realisations of their gifting and have begun to function accordingly. Overall, God has been very faithful.

Key Passage: Psalms 124
It is mandatory for Christians to thank God. That said, we all have special, personal things to thank God for. Also, our blessings increase as we offer thanks. Some of us forget to thank God. Others thank, while they believe and expect more.
We take the mercies of God for granted. Indeed we expect God to serve as our protector and deliverer. As the Psalmist says, if it had not been for the Lord who has been on your side, you would not be among the living. Sickness, accidents, injuries, or something else would have taken your life. The unseen presence of the Lord preserved you.
How did we survive through the year? We live by the grace and mercy of God!! I encourage you to offer enthusiastic thanks to God today.
How do we explain certain events this year?
Psalms 30:7 says;
“Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong;
You hid Your face, and I was troubled.”
Psalms 66: 11-12 says;
“You brought us into the net;
You laid affliction on our backs.
12 You have caused men to ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.”
Circumstances do not determine life. We should be guided by our destination! There are bumps on every journey. God is taking all of us somewhere. Nothing will stop you in the name of Jesus.
Again, thanksgiving is not optional. It is mandatory. God expects it. Luke 17: 17 says; “So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?” We ought to thank God continually for his loving kindness and mercies to us. God is waiting for our praise today. Thank him with gifts, with dancing, and in every way possible.
Thanksgiving brings more Blessings
Psalms 67: 5-7 says;
“Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
6 Then the earth shall yield her increase;
God, our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us,
And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him“
We can interpret this scripture thus; when we praise God, he blesses us . Also, we can say that praise affects the eco-system. When you hold back praise, the land will not yield increase.
Brethren, get ready. Something great is coming your way. God has not finished blessing people. You are on God’s list.
Thanksgiving brings down the Glory of God
2 Chronicles 5: 14 says;
“Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.”
Let us thank God for who He is, for what He is done, and what He will do
