“As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as (benefits) good trustees of God’s many-sided grace (faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favour)” (1 Peter 4:10 AMP).
DON’T IGNORE YOUR GIFTS. THEY MAKE YOU. Some of God’s greatest blessings to us are our gifts and talents. Exercise your gifts and talents and grow in them.
We are all given the (same) opportunities. Gifts and talents are given to us according to our abilities (Matthew 25:15).
No gift or talents is useless or small. God has bestowed more honour on those gifts we think are less honourable (1 Corinthians 12:21-23). All the gifts matter to God.
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GIFTS AND TALENTS? Yes!
Both talents and gifts are God-given.
Talents are genetically inherited or developed. Gifts are divinely given to believers.
Everyone has a talent, but only believers have gifts.
Talents and gifts are like muscles, they must be exercised to develop to its full potential. Gifts are given for service and must be utilised otherwise they will be withdrawn.
Talents could be used for selfish purposes, but gifts are for service.
HOW DO I KNOW OR IDENTIFY MY GIFTS?
What is your desire, passion and interest? Like they say, “follow your passion.” Bob Gass says, the mountain you eventually possess in life is somewhere between the intersection of your greatest strength and passion.
HOW DO I USE MY GIFTS?
Exercise them. Use them to serve.
WHEN DO I BEGIN TO USE MY GIFTS? Now!
Gifts and talents require a lot of HARDWORK, Perseverance and at times, disappointments before success is recorded.
WHERE DO I USE MY GIFTS?
In church, at home, in your office, in your community.
HAC Vision and Mission is robust enough to accommodate your gifts and talents.
WHAT HINDERANCES COULD I FACE?
Fear, low self-esteem, lack of wisdom, timidity, shyness, etc
Awaken the giant in you by exercising your gifts and talents now!
