PRAYER FOCUS FOR WEEK 2
Ponder for a moment, what lessons have you learnt in this second week of the fast?
PRAYER FOR REVIVAL: Pray for revival in HAC churches. Pray that God will fill our hearts with the hunger for revival.
It is possible for the Church to experience another wave of revival in our generation. Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God upon the Church in Nigeria. Pray that God will sustain the zeal of many revival seekers in the land whose hearts are eager and thirsty to see genuine revival occur in the Church in this generation.
Use the following passages to pray for a truly heaven-sent revival in your congregation (Psalm 80:1-19; 85:4-7; 90:13-17; Habakkuk 3:1,2).
Pray that God will sustain the strength of the many intercessors who have for many years been praying for genuine revival in Nigeria.
PRAYER SURGE: ONE YEAR PRAYER INITIATIVE: We are in the middle of a one year prayer initiative tagged PRAYER SURGE. It is a one year prayer project aimed at stimulating revival, renewal, reformation, fruitfulness and transformation in He’s Alive Chapel, in the Church in Nigeria and the nation. Pray that God would increase and sustain our enthusiasm and zeal all through the one year period. Ask the Holy Spirit to sensitize and mobilize all the members of the church to be involved in this prayer.
Pray that God would ignite the spirit of every member of the Church with fire and passion (the men, women, youth, singles, children) to participate in this prayer project.
Pray that God would renew our strength, zeal and enthusiasm. May God give his children the enablement to be committed to prayer (Eph.3:17).
Pray that God would renew the vision of his children to the prayer project.
Pray that the Prayer Surge will result in growth, fruitfulness, revival, blessings in HAC.
Pray that God would take every child of his into deeper depths of prayer through this prayer programme (Eze.47:1-12).
Pray that God would reveal new strategies for effectiveness in prayer.
Prayer is a dialogue. As we pray, we need to listen to what the Spirit is saying to us. Ask the Lord to anoint our ear to hear from him, to anoint our eyes to see what he wants us to see, and to anoint our minds to understand what he is saying to us in the course of this prayer initiative.
