THEME: Come, Seek Jesus.
The 2-day meeting was attended by some pastors and leaders in He’s Alive Chapel (HAC); pastors and leaders from other ministries; friends of the ministry and some HAC members who had relocated from Nigeria to the U.S.A.
It was such an impactful time of praise, worship, soaking in God’s presence, receiving exhortation, prayers and awesome testimonies. Saxophonist, Peter K, was live in Dallas!
HAC Dallas is the 53rd centre of He’s Alive Chapel (HAC) but the first in the USA. The Pastor-in-charge of HAC Dallas is Pastor Emmanuel Akara. Coincidentally, June 2 was his birthday.
Please see below a summary and the key highlights of the event:
DAY 1
Exhortation by Pastor Don Woke
Theme: Representing Jesus in the Marketplace
Text: Col. 3:23-24
We live out our lives mostly in the marketplace since we are more often at work than at home. Many times, we think like Jacob – as if there are places where God is not present. (Genesis 28:16-22). We should know that wherever we can experience God, that is the house of God (Bethel).
God is everywhere. (Psalm 139:7-12). Everywhere we go, God is there, even in our workplaces. We should not think that there is a secular life as separate from our spiritual life. God has given us just one life to live – for Him, wherever we are and all the time. We serve the Lord, Christ. We are called to give the Father pleasure.
The marketplace gives us opportunities to show that our faith is authentic. That we serve Jesus. The way we talk or work/ walk will show Jesus. Our lives should be lived wholly (completely) for Jesus, not in fractions or part-time, both at our workplace and at home.
Exhortation by Pastor (Mrs) Oluyide Ukachi
Theme: Building Strong Families
Text: Psalm 144:11-15
This is a key part of our Mission Statement as a church. To build strong families. It’s important to build strong families because strong families will make strong churches.
However, when we look around us, relationships are falling apart and many marriages are hurting. There is pain and conflict leading to divorce and broken homes. It is time to arise and fight for the family.
We can rescue our families through God. We need to get back to God. By prayer and cooperating with God, we will raise strong families. John 10:10 shows us the devil’s agenda – to kill, steal and destroy and it has not changed! We are to arise and take a stand against the devil’s onslaught on the Christian family.
DAY 2
Exhortation by Pastor Emma Davis
Theme: Seek Jesus With Your Whole Heart
Texts: Jeremiah 29:13. Deuteronomy 4:29
We should seek Jesus early. Seek Jesus to know what the expected end/His plan for you is.
When we seek God in worship, God takes care of the many issues of our lives. (Worship is ‘war ship’). The angels go into battle on our behalves when we worship.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – Repent. Pray and seek the face of the Lord. God will answer and heal our land.
Isaiah 55:6 – Seek the Lord while He may be found. There is a right time to seek God.
Matthew 6:33 – Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then every other thing will be added to you.
We have been Chosen. We are Sanctified. We are God’s people and are called to seek Him. Where there is God’s presence, there will be God’s glory.
CHARGE BY THE GENERAL OVERSEER, PASTOR AUSTEN UKACHI
Theme: Building According to Pattern
Texts: 1 Corinthians 5:5-14; Exodus 25:1,9,40; Exodus 26:30; Exodus 39:42-43
We must build according to pattern. Anything else will be out of alignment. God has a pattern for everyone. We are to find out that pattern and run with it. (Build according to your assigned pattern).
Jesus died for all people and for a rich harvest of souls. There are over 7 billion people in the world and Christians are only about 2 billion! The gospel has not reached many parts of the world. There is much work to be done because Jesus died for them too.
The global trend is that many People are migrating from their countries due to famine, wars, conflicts etc. to the Northern Hemisphere. This means that many “unreached people” are now coming to us. So we don’t have to go to their countries/natural habitat. They have come into our cities, they are now with us. The harvest is truly plenteous!
We have been sent by the Lord. Some as ‘planters’ and others are ‘waterers.’ But God gives the increase as we synergise in ministry. Do your part and God will give the harvest. May the Lord open our eyes to see the great harvest around us so we can do our part of the work.
First Corinthians 5:9-11. We are God’s fellow workers. We are partners together with God.
God is looking for partners, so give your prayers, your time, your money and yourself to the work. However, be careful how you build. Build only on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Build to pattern only.
After the charge, prayers were made for the new HAC Centre and for Pastor Emmanuel Akara and Dr Benjamin. Both of them were anointed and commissioned for the work.
Pastors from other ministries who graced the occasion were given brief moment to give a word of encouragement to the church. Below are some of the words they brought forth:
- Habbakuk 2:3. The vision is for an appointed time. Wait for it. It will not tarry.
- Grace, grace to the set man!
- Whatever you tell to go will go. Whatever you ask to come will come.
- More grace. Release of faithful men to co-labour as church workers.
- God’s word in your mouth will run swiftly.
- The blessing of multiplication. Deut. 1:8-11.
- The name of Jesus is full of power and grace. It is the name of Jesus that is lifted over HAC Dallas as a banner. God’s counsel alone will be done. Easy and fast growth.
- The blessings of God will rest upon the church.
