Everything God does starts small; this is why the prophet Zachariah encouragers us not to despise the day of small beginnings. The giant iroko tree began as a small plant before it grew to maturity. Our testimony these twenty years started from very humble beginnings. Judging from how and where we started, it is incredible that we are where we are now. The credit for our progress these years goes to no other than the Almighty God.
Within the last twenty years, the church has grown from one single congregation to 18 congregations; from one pastor to over 38 pastors; from one family to several families. We have also not relented in our mobilization of the Church for prayer for the nation and for missions. Like Samuel we can confidently say, “Thus far the lord has helped us.” We are however not going to rest on our oars. Achievements have a way of stifling initiative. No matter what progress we have made, they are nothing compared to the greater challenges ahead of us. Therefore, I urge every hand to remain on deck and our eyes fixed on the Christ until we accomplish the mandate given to us by our lord Jesus Christ. God enabling us, in the coming years we shall continue to focus on church planting, prayer mobilization, missions and leadership development.
I must not fail to appreciate the team of pastors the lord has sent to work alongside with me in this Vision. Some have left to start off their own work, while others have remained with me. I also appreciate all the members of HAC Family for their unflinching support and dedication to the vision all these years. May the good Lord bless you all as we celebrate this 20th anniversary.
