Notes from Overcomer’s Conference Day 1 (Tuesday 17 September 2013)

Key Passage: 1 Kings 1:1- 14
You must be in the Kingdom before you receive power, and power produces glory. For you to move from the level of Kingdom to the level of power and glory there will be spiritual battle. The word Glory means substance.
There are different levels of glory. It is a gift that God can touch your heart and it is a good thing to be conversant with the word of God. God is going to raise up people and put his spirit within them. When the Spirit of God is planted in us, it never goes away. And He will always intervene for us and fight our battles. God is shaking us and preparing us for our destiny. God can take us from step one to step 10. God is the owner of the heaven and the earth.
We should open up our hearts to God, in order that he may touch us and take us to another level. A word spoken from God to us is a word that will locate us wherever we are and change our lives. I prophesy this evening that God will give us long life and prosperity. A person who lives on welfare lives a life of survival. However, we see in the scriptures that David lived a life of purpose. Similarly, in the story of Gideon there was a selection process; some soldiers were sent away because they were afraid, others were removed because they buried themselves in the blessing, and that is how they missed the power and glory of God.
In the realm of the Spirit you must wait for the right time before you go in and you must follow instructions. Moses was denied entrance into the promise land because he made the silly mistake of not listening to instruction. Once you obey God your miracles will manifest, in accordance with the law of sequence and understanding. What God will do for you today is different from what he will do tomorrow, so we should always open up our heart to him to receive something new. God expects us to take a step out of our problems before he can help us. It is only the Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God that brings change and deliverance, not your own ideas or intentions. Besides it is God that gives us the power to make wealth.
It is better to trust God from the beginning, than to die in doubt. Everything that God does is beautiful, so when we look at our lives we should not just focus on the things he has not done ,if God does not perform a certain expected miracle in our lives, he has done so much else for us. We must always be in the right place to receive our blessings from God. If we are in the wrong place at the wrong time, we can miss our blessings. God will bless you if you are firmly rooted in his Word. David had a Kingdom mindset and mentality and that was what helped him succeed. When we think about the Kingdom our problems will become shadows. If we set our eyes on the King, everything will be taken care of.
The Kingdom of God is about service. When Jesus spoke about the Kingdom in Matthew 26 he taught them this principle. The reason why we are alive is to be a blessing. A Kingdom has a King, and the King prescribes the law. For a Kingdom to be effective the subjects have to be happy. Once you accept Christ you have become a part of God’s Kingdom, and the Kingdom lives within us. You need to be spiritual to understand how the Kingdom operates. In Daniel 7, we are made to understand that there are different Kingdoms that will come and go but there is one that will remain and that is the Kingdom of God. In Daniel 7:17-25, we are shown that the Kingdom is ours and all other Kingdom are subjects to this Kingdom, so we should be excited that we are part of the Kingdom of God. If we have the revelation of the Kingdom, the power of the Kingdom will work perfectly in our lives. We declare today that whatever the enemy has taken from us, we take it by force in Jesus name. AMEN.
Lord, please give us the Kingdom Mindset!!
