Pastor Austen Ukachi
Over the past few weeks our television screens have been awash with the news of the disaster caused by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. As I watch the colossal destruction and disaster on television, the following lessons of life came to my mind:
The helplessness of man before the fury of the elements
Man is so vulnerable. The typhoon revealed the vulnerability of man.
The emptiness of life without God
The need to have faith and courage in life in the face of all odds
Seek first his kingdom while life lasts.
Be grateful. Thank God for your situation and experiences
Only God can save and deliver from problems.
We need each other in life. Pray for parts of the world where families are suffering.
Give and help those who are in need.
As always, women and children suffer most whenever there is disaster.
