Key Passages: 2 Samuel 5:1-10
It is necessary for us to be anointed in the beginning of the year, so that we can achieve greatness in the things the Lord has commissioned us to do! I believe that God wants to take people to a higher level of greatness!
What is Greatness?
How do u define Greatness in the light of the Scriptures? How do you achieve Greatness? According to Shakespeare: some were born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.
To achieve greatness is to achieve Distinction and Honour in the things God has called you to do! May we receive the Grace to excel and achieve Greatness this year!
Deuteronomy 8: 16-7 – the power to make wealth is given by God, so also is the power to be great!
There are measures of God’s hand, power, strength, direction, and ability, that God gives a man to achieve greatness.
Who says you can achieve greatness without God’s hand?
We need to come to GOD specially to say “God, anoint us specially for the challenges ahead”. In the name of the Almighty God, you will overcome in all challenges.
Anointing is not for sitting down but for warfare, so when anointed, you must move into action!
Declaration: This year every impregnable barrier shall fall before you this Year!
In 1 Chronicles 11:6-9 we see that David went on to become GREAT, so can we!
If you take a territory for GOD, GOD will promote you; He will promote you into GREATNESS! There has to be an anointing for Battle! Anointing for WARFARE! As you begin to conquer, God will promote you.
Greatness is never achieved by sudden flight or fiat! Growth is progressive! (2 Samuel 5:10)
Everyone was born with a specific job description! We must find ourselves in that path chosen for us!
Two key things to Note:
- We need the grace of God to grow into greatness! There are battles that only the Grace of GOD will help you overcome!
- Everything you desire in your job description for 2014 shall be given unto you! Ask for divine ability, divine grace to overcome and possession
It is in the midst of battle that you grow anointing! Prayer is the key to wade through all battles this year!
Psalms 71:20║ Thou shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side!; the psalmist already had greatness in him, so do we! We need to acknowledge that we are great!
Exodus 1:7-12 ║ The more your enemy try to oppress you, they shall fall and bow before you!
